The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) require examination by a competent person of lifting accessories and equipment every 6 or 12 months, depending on the equipment.
Here at LiftingGearProducts.com, we've been leaders in the sale, support and certification of lifting & handling equipment for over 60 years.
Based here in Sheffield - the undisputed heart land of UK engineering - our unique experience in the industry means that we're able to provide expert advice on exactly what needs to be tested and when. This ensures that you and your lifting equipment remain compliant with current LOLER legislation.
We offer full LOLER inspection and certification services for your lifting equipment, whether that's for 6 month or 12 month inspections and certificate renewals.
As engineers ourselves, we understand how difficult it can be to keep up to date with "paperwork".
We've even created a unique reminder service - so you can do what you do best, and leave the paperwork to us!
Your LOLER inspection and certification starts when we work with you to discuss your requirements and the best options available to you to keep you and your items LOLER compliant.
If it becomes apparent that you re-certification is most suited to your requirements, we'll arrange shipping of your items to our LOLER Test Center here in Sheffield. We use UPS or Mallinsons specialist couriers depending on the wight and size of your item.
You can also arrange for your own delivery to our test center.
Once your items arrives, our qualified LOLER Inspectors conduct a rigorous program of functional tests as required by current LOLER regulations.
This full and thorough inspection takes around 3-5 days to complete.
Once complete you will receive your thorough LOLER Inspection Report.
If your item passes the inspection to current LOLER requirements, you will receive your renewed LOLER Certificate. This Certificate will be valid for either 6 or 12 months, depending on the type of item tested.
If your item fails the inspection, we will not issue a LOLER Certificate, but we will advise you of parts and costs needed to bring the item back to the required standard. If you decide to have the item repaired, we will then re-inspect your item. When your repaired item meets the required LOLER standards, we will then authorise and issue your new LOLER Certificate.
There is no additional cost for re-inspection required to successfully gain your items LOLER Certification.
